These light paintings are a little bit different; these are all tabletop light paintings. You don’t have to be outside to do beautiful light paintings. I tend to like photographs that are closer, so this style was totally up my alley. My professor Caryn Esplin is an incredible photographer, and her light paintings are truly amazing and unique. She brought all of these amazing props from her home for us to use in our light painting. The number one thing I learned about table top light painting is to do multiple takes of it, and to be patient. I had to do the same scene 3 or 4 times before I was pleased with the outcome. Another thing is to make sure you’re focused properly; I had a really hard time with that. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment and PLAY! Have fun with it! Light Painting allows you to ignite your creativity and imagination. DO IT! I hope you enjoy these light paintings, I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of these from me in the near...

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of going to Salt Lake City to do a fashion shoot. The models we had were absolute PERFECTION! This post is one of several I’ll be posting from this excursion. These are all images I took, then the other part of the assignment was to add logos to the images. I spent a lot of time looking through magazine ads to find the perfect logos for the shots I took. These are all accessory shots, with logos from companies who sell accessories… (or cars). I absolutely LOVED putting these together. It allowed me to think differently about the shots I took so I could apply the logos to them. These kind of shoot are ones I could to all the time, and never get tired of them. These were all shot with the incredible 70-200mm nikon lens. The bokeh is UNREAL. Someday, I’ll have one of my own. Now that I’ve used it I just HAVE to have it....
